The Institute of PERCEPTIONISM® Inc.

PERCEPTIONISM® applies to the most fundamental use of the word as it relates to the human relationship with the Universe – human cognizance or awareness in and of the Universe. It is the position of Perceptionists that Humanity provides perception to the Universe – an element that otherwise the Universe does not have or if one believes that God provides the perception of the Universe, then humanity performs this God given task. This is a fundamental philosophy of life

Many who call themselves perceptionists are practitioners of perception – concerning themselves with the nuances of human perception. More appropriately, they are practitioners of Perceptionology and thereby are perceptionologists. They are not theologians, but professionals who apply their skill and talents.

SOVEREIGNTY OF THE INDIVIDUAL

A free individual is sovereign over his/her Person, Property and Minor children. The antithesis of this is Slavery. One need only ask, is a Slave sovereign over his/her Person – that is to have total authority and responsibility over his/her body? The answer, of course, is no. Someone else does. Therefore he/she is their slave.

Is the person sovereign over his/her property and production? To whatever extent he/she is not, he/she is a slave.

Are the persons sovereign over their minor children? Even though they cannot be taken and sold, to whatever extent the parents are not sovereign over their children, they are someone else’s’ children. To the extent that they are forced to care for someone else’s children, they are slaves.

To whatever extent the people are forced to care for others, they are slaves.

To be a free individual one must be sovereign over his/her Person, Property and Minor children. Only in this way and to this extent can eight billion uniquely different individuals be equal.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INDIVIDUAL IN A FREE-ORDERLY SOCIETY

In addition to being totally responsible for one’s own life, death and wellbeing and the life, death and wellbeing of their children, Free - Sovereign people must be responsible for interfacing with all others in a manner that honors and respects the person, property and minor children and the sovereignty thereof all others. In a free-orderly civilized society,. all participants must do no harm to others.

In this light, no free/orderly society can allow Irresponsible Procreation. There exists no way for a civilized society to allow Irresponsible Procreation without enslaving others, at least in part, to care for the progeny of the irresponsible procreators. No child should be intentionally subjected to or harmed by the consequences of unwilling or incapable parenting.

EQUILIBRIUM ECONOMY

The fundamental principle of a Free/ Orderly economy that functions in an expanding manner without the extremes of boom or bust is as follows:

“That which the Land and Capital Assets produce – that which each earns – must flow freely to the consumers without impediments or anyone’s judgment or discretion.”

To achieve this Equilibrium Economy, several institutions must be modified and created. These are disclosed in our publication PROSPERITY FREDOM AND ORDER. These institutions will solve the problem of financial security of the elderly; they will enable the market disciplined subsidized healthcare system; with the end of Irresponsible Procreation, they will end poverty below subsistence and it will greatly lessen the disparity of wealth.

PERSONAL ESTATE TRUST ACCOUNTS (PETA)

The Personal Estate Trust Account will assure retirement income avoiding generational abuse tax (FICA) - additionally burdening the young to provide for the old. PETAs will assure adequate capital investment for a durable growing economy. Combined with responsible procreation, PETAs will assure an adequate sustenance income for all. And PETAs will create universal generational wealth accumulation. As PETAs provide the capital investment, PETAs will help reduce the great disparity of wealth.

FEDERAL LAND TRUSTS

Federal Land Trusts will combine with the Personal Estate Trust Accounts to provide an adequate sustenance income; assure the highest use of land; further the financial independence of the elderly and help minimize the great disparity of wealth.

CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

It is the position of The Institute of Perceptionism that corporate governance must be modified to assure that the Directors and all the employees serve the interests of the shareholder. The Directors’ assurance that the officers and operating employees each receive compensation at the market rate will also assure that each has sufficient performance incentive pay to overcome the stagnation of bureaucratic government employee syndrome. Constraints must be put in place that prevents the abuses of power by managers, officer and directors. Shareholders decide what the mission of the corporation shall be.

GOVERNMENT

The Institute of Perceptionism recognized the human nature assures that whatever power an individual possesses, his/her first thought will be how it might be garnered it for his/her personal wellbeing. Recognizing this corrupting characteristic, the only way to avoid corruption is to limit the power of government. Also, to make the laws which limit the purview of officeholders, extremely difficult to change or modify, by requiring a very broad consensus - perhaps a change in the constitution.

When sovereign individual interface in other than a volunteer manner, they must interface in a free, open, honest market. It is a fundamental function of government to assure the free, open honest market place.

A Perceptionism world is a civilization of an optimization of human beings in a social structure that enables individuals to lead happy productive lives; that enable humanity to make a maximum contribution to its beneficial impact on the Universe.
